Buying something because I liked it.
Decorating my own apartment.
Choosing what to cook for dinner.
Walking through the city with my son and feeling…
safe.
I didn’t realize how much of myself I had lost until I stFreedom wasn’t loud.

I didn’t realize how much of myself I had lost until I started making ordinary decisions again.
For so long, I thought freedom had to be something big.
A new beginning.
A different city.
A completely different life.
But I was wrong.
Freedom was hidden in the ordinary.
It was learning to trust my own choices again.
To hear my own voice.
To realize that I didn’t need permission to simply be myself.
Freedom isn’t always a grand escape.
Sometimes it’s choosing your own life…
one small decision at a time.
